about

This is the first recording of the Dx9. I had ordered a Dx7 but they were very thin on the ground at that time (even though I worked in Melbournes' largest music shop). The batteries were dying on the Tr606 and that led to a grungier sound which i liked. I just finished the track before they died !
I lost a lot of material when the four track i was using chewed up the tape, so that is why there weren't a lot of tracks in this time period.
I like the ominous outro !

Recorded to 4 track @ East Brunswick mid 1983.

Welcome to the Works series of my Electronic World !
None of this music has been professionally recorded but it represents what I was doing in these places and times in my life.
It charts the rise and fall of the digital synth and how the new sounds influenced the music that was made. A technological synth history lesson.
Enjoy the ride !
